Whats the big fuss about layering? Products have to be layered in a specific order based on the type of product it is. There are a few different types of products in skincare, these are:

Water free serums
Oil serums
Lotions
Creams
A cream product has a bigger molecule size than a water serum so if you put a water serum on top of a cream the active ingredients aren’t able to pass the big size of the cream molecules to penetrate into the skin. It is for this reason that it is important to layer in the right order.
